Official Description: (This is book 1 of the Peachville High Demons series)
Harper Madison isn’t like other girls. She has extraordinary powers, but her inability to control them has gotten her kicked from so many foster homes she’s lost count. Shadowford Home is her last chance, and she hopes Peachville High will be the fresh start she needs. But when evidence ties her to the gruesome murder of a Demons cheerleader, Harper discovers this small town has a big secret.
My Take: Beautiful Demons was not at all what I expected, it was better than I thought it would be. After reading so many young adult books that have thin and predictable plots this one just makes you feel like you’ve read something with substance. It is a great start to a promising series it has suspense, magic and bit of mystery. It leaves you wanting to know more, and feeling for several of the characters. A lot of questions that arise are still not answered, but you do have a growing awareness of what is going on. Maybe everything isn’t as ominous as it seems or perhaps it is more so. I liked the writing style, I loved the characters, they weren’t shallow teens they had substance. I can’t wait to pick up the next one.
