Wicked

Wicked by Addison Moore (Kindle Edition) – Read February 18, 2012

Cost: $3.99 (As of This Post)

Official Description: (This is book 4 of the Celestra series)

Seventeen year-old, Skyla Messenger is wishing people would just stay dead.
With Chloe back, Skyla finds it difficult to live under her tyranny and threats.
A seemingly innocent misstep in Skyla’s past comes back to haunt her and could end up costing her relationship with Gage.

Quote: “Revenge in the hands of your enemies is a loaded gun. You can beg them for mercy, wave the white flag of surrender, but the only true elixir for the vitriol they bestow is a measure of hatred dispensed of your own.”

My Take: Oh the never ending drama that is Paragon Island, I say the whole island and not just Skyla because it seems like there is something major going on everywhere. With a freshly living Chloe back to incite misery on Skyla, and the new found information, of pretty much everyone she thought she could trust, was in fact a Count. Except Gage, but now he’s pretty spotty too, but he’s still pretty much more awesome than everyone else. And with all the guys in Skyla’s life, I find Marshall the most honest, not the best candidate for a life long happiness, but he’s puts all his intentions out there, unlike EVERYONE ELSE! Anyway, Addison Moore knows how to keep her readers on the hook with all these shocking endings! Wow. I couldn’t put this book down, I had to, because I needed to sleep, but I didn’t want to. I don’t think this series is for younger readers, because it just seems to spiral into darker and darker places (and I almost feel sorry for Tad, ALMOST). I have to pick Vex up soon, but I’m sure it’ll have that shocking ending, and I’m not sure when the next book is coming out. This series is starting to become one of my favorites.

Also, very excited to read on Addison Moore’s blog that the Celestra series was optioned for film (as a TV series) by 20th Century Fox! If it makes it through production and on air I will totally be watching! I can’t wait to see who they’ll cast and I hope they live up to the books.

  1. I was so excited when I saw that news about 20th Century Fox!

I was lucky enough to score an interview with Addison, which I published on my blog a couple of hours ago, with her insights. It was fun stuff. Come check it out if you want.
