MacKayla Lane lies naked on the cold stone floor of a church, at the mercy of the erotic Fae master she once swore to kill. Far from home, unable to control her sexual hungers, MacKayla is now fully under the Lord Master’s spell.…In New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning’s stunning new novel, the walls between human and Fae worlds have come crashing down. And as Mac fights for survival on Dublin’s battle-scarred streets, she will embark on the darkest—and most erotically charged—adventure of her life.
He has stolen her past, but MacKayla will never allow her sister’s murderer to take her future. Yet even the uniquely gifted sidhe-seer is no match for the Lord Master, who has unleashed an insatiable sexual craving that consumes Mac’s every thought—and thrusts her into the seductive realm of two very dangerous men, both of whom she desires but dares not trust.
As the enigmatic Jericho Barrons and the sensual Fae prince V’lane vie for her body and soul, as cryptic entries from her sister’s diary mysteriously appear and the power of the Dark Book weaves its annihilating path through the city, Mac’s greatest enemy delivers a final challenge.…
It’s an invitation Mac cannot refuse, one that sends her racing home to Georgia, where an even darker threat awaits. With her parents missing and the lives of her loved ones under siege, Mac is about to come face-to-face with a soul-shattering truth—about herself and her sister, about Jericho Barrons…and about the world she thought she knew.
Oh Mac, we left you at the end of Faefever in one heck of a mess, and of course you don’t pull yourself out of that mess. No one came to save you and you got all sexed up by crazy, Fae, evil princes. Then we get to be in Dani’s world for a bit. Which was pretty interesting, and which will go to show that the series that is coming out soon revolving around Dani will sure to be a good one. I love this series, I mean I really do love it, and I’ll be sad to see it end. It was originally projected as a 5 book series, and this is book 4. However, Ms. Moning announce a book 6 & 7, so we’ll see where she’ll go from there. Oh I ate this book up, and if you hated the ending of book #3 you’ll also hate this ending, because there is yet another cliffhanger. What is up with these authors and their cliffhangers? Ms. Moning doesn’t disappoint in content though. There seems to be a never-ending struggle as Mac evolves, continuously into something darker, and more dangerous, and Barrons, we get to see a whole new side to him….well, not new kind of slightly shinier side to him. Slight Spoiler Start: Oh and finally some Barrons and Mac action, I mean yeah, she was Priya at the time, but you wanted to slap her when she came out of it and say stick with him, but Mac Seems to want to be alone. End Spoiler. I can’t wait to finish this series, and see how everything will play out. I love these characters, and I so am not ready to give them up.
“ Don’t lose yourself in anger, Mac. It’s gasoline. You can burn it as fuel, or you can use it to torch everything you care about and end up standing on a scorched battlefield, with everybody dead, even you—only your body doesn’t have the good grace to quit breathing.”
