Official Description:

Spinning straight out of the hit Nickelodeon cartoon comes an all-new, all-ages TMNT book perfect for fans both old and new! Four fantastic tales pin the Turtles against villains new and old like Snakeweed, the Shredder, and a horde of zombies?

My Take:

I read this comic with my son, aloud, with different voices and he did the sound effects and the voice of his favorite turtle. He absolutely loved it (he’s 8). In fact instead of watching a TV show he said, “Um, mom can we just keep reading?” Why yes, of course son! So he is a book-worm, so there is no surprise that he enjoys reading but TV time is important and rare. While reading he laughed aloud, thought the jokes were the best thing in the world and was sad that the book ended. Why am I saying all this about an 8 year olds reading likes? Well, that is who this comic is geared to, it’s not super witty and doesn’t have great plot points, but who cares, it’s not for me. It’s for children, more specifically it’s geared toward children who watch the show on Nick. We don’t, we watch old school Ninja Turtles, but we still loved the comic. I did find myself rolling my eyes, but there are also morals thrown in. Such as the importance of teamwork, the importance of not ignoring someone because they are younger or have differing interest, don’t doubt the girl, and so on and so forth. I would recommend this for your TMNT loving child because they will get a kick out of it.

*I did receive this book for free for an honest review.
